Getting Started as a Model

Submit Photos and Info

• To be considered for commercial print, fashion, video, and promotional modeling opportunities with our agency, SEND US AN EMAIL listing name, date of birth, height, weight, hair color, eye color, phone number, and a few recent snapshots. Include at least one shot showing a smile. (We prefer recent snapshots over professional photos that are old.) Please note that we do not require professional photos as modern smartphones are sufficient to take sharp, well lit photos for our consideration. Models should never incur any expense to get submission photos to our agency.

  When submitting minors under 18 years old for consideration, provide the phone number and/or email address for a parent or legal guardian and indicate this person's name and relationship to the model.

• If we think you have a look that would interest clients, we will contact you to discuss your experience, goals, and availability, and to answer questions about working with our agency.

Post a Portfolio

Sunshine Productions models are marketed using a collection of professional photographs called a portfolio. These photos show the model's range of expressions / poses and include a variety of wardrobe. Please note that there is a per image charge to post images to a portfolio.

• For new models, we can refer you to an experienced photographer/trainer who provides one-on-one guidance on posing and working in front of a camera. (Plan photoshoots carefully! A small non-refundable copyright/session deposit is taken at the time of the agency referring a model to a photographer/trainer; this deposit applies in full towards the session. If the session is postponed or cancelled by the model once the session is scheduled, the deposit will stay on file as a credit towards any photos posted of the model on our website. • For experienced models who have recent photographs, we will consider those images for inclusion in the porfolio provided they are of high quality and the model holds clear copyright.
• Together we will review and pick images that will go into your modeling portfolio and discuss any necessary digital imaging.

Terms of Representation

• Once your portfolio is complete and posted online, Sunshine Productions will represent you to clients with suitable hiring opportunities in fashion, commercial print, advertising, corporate videos, and promotional events.
• When you are among a client's final picks for a job, we contact you immediately to discuss the job and your availability.
• When you're hired, we count on you to behave professionally -- arrive on time, be prepared and enthusiastic. Keep us informed about any questions, and have fun!
• Remember to notify us if your phone number or email address changes. Sometimes clients give very short notice and we need to be able to reach you asap.
• For all jobs booked by Sunshine Productions, a 20% commission is deducted from your earnings.
